Styling Velvet For A Casual Look

DRESS: TOBI | ROLL NECK: H&M | BOOTS: OFFICE | NECKLACE: ASOS

Hello lovelies, how were your christmases? I hope they were full of happiness however you spent them! And if you don't celebrate Christmas, well I hope you enjoyed the days to relax and rejuvenate. Mine has been spent with plenty of food and laughter and the food is still flowing now, which is totally ok with me and it's actually the first year that I have been able to eat and eat so I am fully embracing this.

Just before christmas I was introduced to this brand Tobi and I am so excited that I was because I think it could be a new favourite brand of mine. As I was looking to link this dress I already came across stuff that I didn't know I needed but now desperately need. When they contacted me I was kindly allowed to choose 3 items to style and so I opted for this velvet dress and got it in the colour teal, I was torn between this and the blush colour but I thought that teal would be different and since everyone is loving the blush velvet just like me I didn't want to over do it. I chose to style it in a casual way as I feel a lot of people see velvet as a dressy material and due to working in a school I am always grabbing for my jeans and wanted to find some outfits that would stop me doing this and now I am itching to go back after the new year (not really) and wear this outfit to school. I think it works so well with the roll neck and still keeps me warm. I am also wanting to style it with a white long sleeved top as I feel that could bring out the teal colour little more.

I also then styled it with my boots because I am obsessed with these still and they really do add a few inches to little ole 5"2 me! I feel this whole outfit screams wintery vibes and I am loving it. I actually wore it christmas eve and I'm dying to get it all washed so I can wear it again. It's a firm favourite and it's definitely going to see me through spring too. I can't wait to style the dress with short sleeved tees as well and a leather jacket and even with my hi top converse. I feel it's such a versatile piece.

Party Season: The Risque Look

BLAZER: BOOHOO | SKIRT: ASOS | TOP: CALVIN KLEIN | NECKLACE: ASOS

So it's the third outfit in my party season series which I have labelled the risque outfit, just because I have the blazer undone haha, but my dignity is still hidden so maybe I am just a big old prude! I am absolutely adoring velvet at the moment, especially in this beautiful blush colour ever since seeing the topshop blush velvet suit I know I needed to recreate it in some way and although I didn't go all out with the trousers too (I wish I did) I found this adorable jacket on boohoo which is just perfect. You can tie it as well like I have or wear it open with a cute top underneath to create the perfect party look. I styled it slightly open with this calvin klein underneath due to not having a black crop top but feel it looks good anyway!

Another statement piece this season has been the pleather skirt and so I thought what better way to incoorperate that style in than in a party outfit. Now I'm not usually a pleather gal but after seeing many bloggers style it I just knew I had to have one in my wardrobe and because this one was so plain I knew it wouldn't take away from the blazer.

Now I haven't pictured any shoes just because this was such a casual set up, but you could pair it with heels if you were going all out, boots for a slightly more casual look or if you're like me then I'd just pair it with my trusty old skool vans because that's just me!

Have you got your new years outfit sorted yet, or any late christmas parties you need to buy for? Don't forget to check out both of my other party season posts, here and here

On The Journey Of Finding My Personal Style

JUMPER: URBAN OUTFITTERS | SKIRT: PRETTY LITTLE THING | BOOTS: OFFICE | BAG: ZARA (old)

For a while now I've really struggled with finding my style and all of that rubbish I've spoken about before here. But recently I really have enjoyed just shopping for me and not worrying too much on what other bloggers are doing or wearing and through that I feel I am slowly finding a style I love and feel comfortable in.

Even looking back on my blog some of the outfits just don't feel me and although I don't hate them even looking back I can tell that's not me. I mean of course I'd love to be able to pull of the really fashionable looking outfits, keep up with all the trends and although I would love to dress like many bloggers as I am always in awe when they post outfits and they look all glamorous and amazing and I still spend hours finding similar items or pining over their exact item, I just do not suit the style that some bloggers wear. It could be because my lifestyle is so different. I mean for one, 5 days a week I am spending my time playing and teaching children so if I went in dressed to the nines I'd probably get some looks and although I'm worried this could hinder my 'getting noticed' and drawing in an audience just because I'm not wearing what everyone seems to be; although I am fully aware that isn't the be all and end all of blogging. I mean I love seeing my numbers grow but I also just love putting content to together and blabbering about my thoughts on the internet and just hope others also enjoy my waffles, and I'm really not trying to blow my own horn and scream things like 'oo look at me I'm not following the trends as such or look I'm trying to be different'

That's why from now on I'm going to focus on what I like to wear and if it's just throwing on a tee and jeans with a pair of trainers and an oversized denim jacket of some sort than so be it. I'll wear it and I'll feel super cool in it. I said this year would be the year I finally find my style and that's exactly what I'm doing, I'm trying not too much at what others are wearing (although I still take major style inspo from many bloggers) and just enjoy shopping for me and I feel I'm nailing my style. In fact for once I feel excited to dress for winter and practice layering and sorts. I think I mentioned before that I was going to concentrate on affordable fashion and showing you how to style pieces again and again in different ways. But when I wrote that, I didn't listen to myself and I spent a lot of energy agonising about not feeling like I dress like a blogger (if there even is a blogger style) and wasting lots of money to get a piece just because others had it. I'm not saying I won't ever wear trend pieces because if I like a trend of course I'll buy it. I feel I do still wear things that are 'on trend'. I'm just not going to keep feeling the pressure to dress just to fit in.

But yeah, that's my little ramble on my style, it's really not ground breaking and it's not vastly different from what others wear, although it sounds like it is, but it feels more me and I'm just excited to get out and take photos show you what I love wearing and outfit repeat (not completely) but really show you my personal style.

Party Season: The Casual Dress Look

DRESS: GLAMOROUS (via topshop, in red) | JACKET: TOPSHOP | BOOTS: OFFICE | BAG: CHLOE FAYE DUPE | BELT (similar) | NECKLACE: STELLA & DOT

Party season outfit idea number two! Still a dress, but I feel a lot more casual. When I saw this I knew from the moment I laid eyes on it I HAD to have it in my wardrobe for the party season. I am all about stars and constellations at the moment and the gold against the grey/black velvet colour was just too dreamy. Now when I got it in an extra small, put it on and in all honesty it swamped me completely it was HUGE. But I styled it with my trusty belt and pulled it up to make it a little shorty and still loved it. So velvet? check! Star pattern? check! and gold details? check! What more could you want in a party season outfit?

I paired it with my trusty pair of sock boots that I go for my birthday and I think along with my leather jacket it gives it quite a cool vibe, some might even say biker chic! I just feel the two tied the dress so well together and again if I wanted to it would be perfect for a Christmas work do or a house party on new years eve as it's not too dressy but has the perfect little details just to look festive enough!

Now I knew because the gorgeous pattern was gold I had to get all of my accessories to match as you know that's what is seen as the done thing and all. Now I was going to wear my ASOS necklace, but then I remembered about my gorgeous Stella and Dot necklace and thought although the pendant is silver, it would look cool because I could pretend it's a moon and also the chain is gold so it's all good! I bought out my Chloe Faye dupe for this outfit as I hadn't worn it in a while and it has the gorgeous gold chain detail, perfect!

Who's fully in the festive spirit now?! Only 19 days to go! Have you done all of your Christmas shopping yet?

Party Season: The Dressed Up Look

DRESS: PRETTY LITTLE THING | HEELS: (similar) | NECKLACE: ASOS

It's that time of year! I guess you'll hear a lot of that during this month, I know I've already written that phrase already during my gift guide bonanza. But yeah, party wear season is upon us and for the first time in forever I have two work christmas parties to attend and potentially a new years eve party. That meaning am in full browsing mode for outfits to wear and this year I have actually found a good few outfits I'd wear, which is rare for me as I am a total casual girl at heart and anything slightly dressy I run in the opposite direction. I guess it must have something to do with feeling so confident with my style at the moment.

But anyway, yes I have titled this the dressed up look. Some may disagree and I'm sure some could dress this up further. But putting on heels and a pretty silky like dress is dressy for me and so the title is going to stick. Onto the dress. Isn't the colour just perfect for this time of year?! I am a sucker for burgundy and when I saw this I just new it would be perfect, not only is it appropriate for the work do due to the neck line not being too low, the silk likeness of it just gives it such a glammed up look, I am in love with it. I love the little waist detail too because you can pull the dress up to make the waist detail look a lot better too. But I wasn't a fan of how short it made it so did vote against it, but still I love the choice.

I paired it with some heels just to dress it up that little extra to show what I'd do if I was going all out and I really like it. The heels are pretty simple so it doesn't take away from the dress too much. I think a strap around the ankle can be so simple but also quite sexy. My heels are quite a block heel as I can't really walk too well and they kill my feet but you can definitely pair it with a thinner heel, I think if you are wearing gold jewellery if you find the right pair of gold heels it could look quite nice, or it could look tacky you decide!

Lastly, is the necklace. Now it's not pictures too well but it is my absolute favourite at the moment. I'm loving accessorising at the moment and I feel layered necklaces work so well. Not to mention that this has moons and stars which I am a massive fan of at the moment. But don't worry I'm sure you'll see better pictures of this necklace soon because I don't take it off!

So who is excited for the party season? Have you found anything yet? If so I'd love to hear what ideas you have!

Gift Guide: Beauty

Here we are, day 5 of the 5 day installment! I hope they have been helpful and if not I hope you have at least enjoyed a festive post or 5 on my blog. The last one is beauty. Now some might say, but why, you aren't into beauty. Well actually I enjoy it a lot. I like how it can make you look and feel when you practically paint your face and also I love skincare, it is a weakness of mine and I follow a routine day and night because I just really enjoy and same goes for fragrances I do not leave the house with spritzing myself. So there is something for anyone, even if you aren't a big make up lover.

Ok so a lot of girls enjoy make up, so why not try and route around your gals make up bag and see if they're running low, make a note and surprise them with topping up their stash, you don't know how appreciated they could be. Alternatively, there are also many brands that can be a little expensive but lust worthy, why not treat them to a new product they have never tried before (obviously make sure it's something they want before you go spending a small fortune) But they would be a wonderful idea. I love charlotte tilbury prodcuts not to mention very photogenic products, nars are always pretty good.

Skincare is another great idea, there are many many many options and most girls claim they need them all, me included, they do different things after all! I went through a face where I think I bought like 3 different moisturisers in one go because they were all for different purposes, well that's what I told myself. I am forever restocking my skincare so like the make up why not see what someone is running low on and help them out. Also some skincare could be a lustful product so you could surprise them with that and also around this time of year there are plenty of skincare/haircare sets to pick from! Good places to look are the botanics range at boots, kiehls, clinique, glossier (they have make up to) origins do good gift sets too.

You can't write a beauty gift guide and not mention perfume. Like mentioned in the gift guide for her post. It really is probably one of the most perfect gifts, But like mentioned, make sure you know her taste in perfume they all smell very different and all have different prices ranges, favs of mine at the moment are Jo Malone, Byredo, Elizabeth and James, tom ford, YSL black opium and even & other stories fragrances are pretty dreamy!

Can you believe 5 posts done already, this was so fun to do! I kinda wish I'd done blogmas now, but hey always next year! Also happy first of December, only 24 days until the big day now!! Happy shopping and I hope these helped even just a little bit!

Gift Guide: For The Homebody

If anyone knows me, they will know I am a big fan of staying in, getting cosy and not leaving the comfort of a settee or bed unless I HAVE to (but if you've seen my awful sleep analyse, you'll understand why I'm probably like this) and so that is why this guide was created because it literally describes me.

The way to my heart, well all of these gifts to be honest but I do like a good book, they are perfect for anything. Commuting to work, read. In bed, read. just lazying, read. travelling town, read on the bus. I just love it and do it whenever I can so I am thrilled with a book, I don't tend to buy them for myself often unless it's on my kindle as they are so much cheaper but I do love a good paper book still and so I'm more than happy to receive them.

Another good gift, fluffy socks and good set of pyjamas, preferably matching because I love that. I always feel next, primark and asos do fab selections and I actually have a list of different pyjamas I'd love! Also don't forget a dressing gown I live in mine, I get home from work and it goes straight on. I love it!

Hot bottles are perfect for people like me. I just love to cuddle something warm and oh they're just so cosy, they can keep you warm, help with those pesky period pains some of us ladies struggle with, they are essential to these cold nights!

Lastly but by no means least. Candles. If you share a room with a boy you know these are essential.. only kidding! No I just love good smelling things and there is nothing better than cosying down with a book and smelling a candle hmmm my ideal evening!

Can you believe we're on day 4 already. If you had to describe yourself in a gift guid what would you name it?

Gift Guide: Stocking Fillers

There is nothing more exciting than creating a stocking for someone, I love the idea of it, I can't wait to create one for sam one day when we have our own house (don't ask why we need our own place to get each other stockings, it just makes sense to me) You can feel them with little knick nacks that can be esseintal and just cute little I saw this and thought of you kinda gifts. I just love love the whole idea.

So although this is more aimed at girls I'm sure you can adapt it for boys and I'll try and write vice versa options as I go. But first like the gift guide for him I don't think you can go wrong with socks in a stocking to be honest, they are always needed and who actually wants to spend money on them? They can be cosy loungewear socks, day to day socks or novelty comical socks lots of options here.

Mugs are fail safe to. I know when I have my own house there are 4 things it going to be full to bursting with one being mugs, I just find them so pretty! This one from anthropologie is just so beautiful! They really do do an amazing selection. Alternatively for a boy you could get them one of those drinking sets you see in places like asda, for example I know sam would be happy with something like this one or any drink gift set they sell. Although you could just get a guy a more manly mug if they do enjoy a good hot choc.

On the topic gift sets, most stores sell skincare/haircare/makeup gift sets and they can be a good present to put in a stocking and I know I'm always grateful to receive some sort of set as I love a good pamper.

Books/stationary also perfect, I am a massive book lover so I'd be happy with anything and I love a good selection of stationary too! I like to write anything and everything down to be honest. Same goes for a guy, you might be lucky and know a guy who likes a good read, if not.. gaming points for their console so they can save money on a new game (they can be a bit of an expensive alternative if you choose to get them a whole game as a stocking filler)

Any little trinkets are perfect too, make up bags, jewellery, candles, warm accessories i.e a beanie, scarf, even little games you can buy that you know will only get played with on Christmas day, because let's be honest they bring entertainment while the turkey is cooking.

Day 3! What do you think are the perfect stocking fillers?

Gift Guide: For Him

Aren't boys just the hardest to buy for, whether it be a boyfriend, brother, dad, grandad, uncle friend they all make it difficult and worst of all? When you ask them and even they say they don't know *face palm* Sam is no different he is so difficult and he buys anything he wants most of the time anyway so leave no room for presents. However, this year he is all done and is the first person I have finished shopping for, woo woo!

So here is the for him edition of the 5 days of gift guides in the hopes it might make your shopping a little easier this year.

Now socks a photographed and I assume a few of you rolled your eyes and thought 'realyyy' but hear me out. Do you really hear that a boy has gone and bought his own underwear or socks, it rare right? Unless they NEED to. Well I spoke to sam and he actually said he would be grateful for socks and pants and actually appreciates that that is what I get him for birthdays and Christmas, however I have been told that the socks have to be comical which is fun by me as i get so much joy finding the most ridiculous pair!

Again, I think clothing whether it be a tshirt, jeans, shoes, accessories are pretty good to go for too. Because A you get to pick things you actually like haha or you just get to shop for clothes but through them so you still get that shopping feeling, except you get to see other people wear it. I think a shirt can be a good call because you can never have too many and boys can dress them up and down, not to mention new years eve is a week after so they can wear it for that evening too! And beanie, well January and Fevurary are always beyond cold so they need to stay warm too and I love a beanie on a guy!

To spendy gifts could be a good pair of sunglasses or a fragrance. I love a good smelling guy and I love perfumes so why not pick one, I love it when sam walks past me and I smell his after shave it's just so dreamy, you really cant go wrong with a good smell. Also like the beanie, sunglasses are always need even in winter for those gorgeous sunny but cold days and there is nothing like treating someone to a pair, rayban is my go to!

Lastly, I'm sure I said this in last years but you really can win any male over with chocolate or their favourite beverage, again gin is pictured just because it is my absolute favourite but you could get them anything and a lot of places if you search can do bundles, whether it be your grandads favourite bitter or your dad's favourite cider their will be something for everyone.

And that is Gift Guide day 2 done! I hope that has helped you even just a little with those pesky males in your life!

Gift Guide: For Her

It's that time again where your bloglovin' feed or however you choose to view blog posts is going to get spammed with gift guides. some may roll their eyes and continue to scroll past all gift guides, but if you're like me then you may enjoy the fact that this may make Christmas shopping easier or you just click on it because you want to see a pretty festive flatlay, I know I'm a sucker for a good flatlay. So here we go, for the first time I am bringing you five days of Christmas gift guides, let's hope after these five days you will have your shopping list completed!

Now I get the most excited when it comes to creating a gift guide for her because it basically means I can create a flatlay of gifts that I'd probably be pretty happy receiving myself, so it's kinda like creating a gift guide for yourself to!

Some of these gifts may seem a bit spendy on the ole' wallet, but I'm not saying you HAVE to go out and by those Victoria secret pyjamas, I'm merely saying that pyjamas are a great gift, whether they're from Primark or Victoria secrets I think any girl would be happy with a nice new pair of pjs because their is nothing better than after that Christmas roast having a shower and slipping into those brand new pyjamas, I love it and on that note, why not get them a bottle of their favourite beverage to sip away on during the day! This gin from Hortus is their raspberry edition they have bought out for Christmas at lidl and I cannot wait to open it! I am also on the hunt for the rhubarb and ginger one.

A luxury gift, why not treat a girl you love to a bag they've been lusting over? Again it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg, but a girl can never have too many bags and if like me they think a bag can dramatically change an outfit, well then you've practically bought them a new outfit but without having to actually get them a new outfit.

On that note of changing an outfit, you can never ever go wrong with jewellery. I think any girl would be more than happy receiving jewellery, whether it be earrings, a necklace, a ring (just make sure she doesn't think you're proposing boyfriends haha) or a bracelet. It really is quite a safe option in my opinion. You could get something for your mum, sister, friend, aunt, nan, any girl would be happy and again they can help make someone feel they're outfit is completely different to. Just make sure you find out what kind of jewellery she prefers - i.e silver, gold, rose gold - that you could get wrong.

I think nowadays lots of people enjoy taking photos, whether they upload to instagram or not people are always taking photos so why not take it back old school and treat someone to a instax, then it's ready for taking lots of fun new years eve photos and it's so easy to carry anywhere!

I think a fragrance is a very good gift to give to, every girl pretty much wears perfume every day, but it's not usually something we go and get on the regular so being treated to a good scent is always very special, whether you just restock them with what they wear all the time or treat them to something new. Just try and get something you think they'll like. A good tip, find out what makes up the perfumes they already have, make a note of the notes an scents that pop up regular in their perfumes and then go with that. For example a lot of my perfumes have vanilla, amber, woody, juniper and subtle hints of floral, so I would hope that any perfume would have some of these notes as that is the kind of thing I like. Similar make up could be a good one, I'm sure most girls have a make up wish list and it's always good to help keep their stock a plenty, just make sure you know their shades and things.

There you have it, my first Christmas gift guid instalment, stay tuned for day 2!

The Silk Cami

JACKET: TOPSHOP | CAMI: H&M | JEANS: TOPSHOP | BELT: H&M (old) | BAKER BOY: H&M | BAG: ZARA (old) | BOOTS: OFFICE

I am the worst blogger, I had all intentions of this going up last weekend, but I never got round to writing it up and by the time I remembered it was way past acceptable to post a post on a Sunday, so it's been scheduled for now. This week has been an exciting one for me. I've had a few brands get in contact to work with me which is amazing because it shows people are liking my content and I won a competition for kiehl's products which I am so totally over the moon with as I've been wanting to try their products forever! So I will keep you lovely lot updated with how I get on with everything

I also went iceskating yesterday, which has kicked of Christmas for definite for me now so I am in full Christmas mode, Christmas songs and Christmas cheer galore until January 1st, if not longer. There is nothing better than ice skating with friends and then getting a few nibbles and drinks after it's just such a great activity and so festive! Now I just need to start that Christmas present shopping!

Now on to the outfit. Yes it has been freezing and yes my arms are out and yes that is a blogger cliche starbucks christmas cup in my hand as a prop (it was a delicious toffee nut latte may I add) But nonetheless I love this outfit. I am your average tee, jeans, jacket, boot/trainer kinda a gal with a skirt or dress thrown in when I want be extra jazzy, but that's nothing new I'm sure I mention that every time I write an outfit post. But what I wanted more than anything recently was to add more tops that aren't just stripes or plain to my wardrobe, so I can go out feeling a little put together and 'special' now and again.

So along came this cami -  well ok my sisters cami - because whats the point in having a sister if you can't share her clothes?! Firstly let me apologise for the fact it may have been lying on my floor for a while and so there is a lovely line right now the middle of it. But if we look past that we can see it's a gorgeous cream colour, the material is gorgeous and it has a little lace detail. Although my hair has hidden that detail well. I just love this. I can wear it casually like I have done here or I could dress it up with a skirt and maybe even a red lip for the evening. It's a win win really and so simple.

Aww the baker boy. Who hasn't seen these circling the blogosphere? I just really feel they are perfect for this season though! They may not keep your ears warm but they sure do keep your hair under wraps with the wind. Not to mention perfect for a bad hair day and you still look good! I love the plaited detail, buttons and leather like cap detail on this one and it was such a bargain! You really can pick up some gems in H&M.

Lastly boots, the winter staple of all winter staples. I think I get a new black pair every season. But that is because I can never find the right pair. Until now! (call me up on this if I buy a new pair next year and say the exact same thing) But they have the perfect sized heel and they are the sock style and they do actually fit my ankles perfectly! There is no bag or anything, I love them! The best thing is, they don't hurt your feet after wearing them for hours! Can you get any better than that??

What's your winter staple??

Is Blogging Dead?

Recently I've noted a big change in instagram. Remember the days when instagram really was instant? We could snap a photo of our us and our friends or our food, whether that just be a McDonalds, we'd post photos of us holding nail varnish with our newly painted nails, we'd snap our feet with the latest magazine a bag of sweets and we wasn't planned at all. Plus no one really questioned liking a photo all your friends or followers would just like your photo whether they quickly just scrolled or actually took the time to stop and look at it. Also captions were spars, it would be something a little as just an emoji a little sentence or nothing at all. Of course this isn't the change I'm talking about as this hasn't actually happened for a good few years now.

No, instead everyones posts are planned, posed and usually not instant at all. Days are used to get those shots for the grid, professional cameras are used and we agonise over what to write as a caption and remember to include those hashtags as practically no one will see your post other wise. The precision of all of this intensifies as the years go on. Some people follow strict themes, some have a style they put with their captions. People have really upped their game and I'm not moaning about it at all I love seeing all the beautiful photos, I take the time to read the captions no matter how long, I am in awe of the themes that people have created on their grids. It make's me want to work so hard to fill up the 3x3 grid with new photos daily and go out to snap my outfits and think about those captions as well as watch my numbers and engagement grow. But it got me thinking about blogging as a whole.
I realised that I work a lot harder on my content for instagram then I do my blog, one it's easier to keep up with as we can upload a photo, write a caption whether it's related to the outfit or not and then add those all important hashtags. Notifications instantly appear on my phone when someone likes, comments and follows me so I can quickly interact back and can easily do it anywhere. However, enjoy writing blog posts, in fact I find it super therapeutic to get down my thoughts and feelings plus it's a bigger space to get everything down in one place and I still write ideas down and try and plan as much as possible. But although a lot of people are still clearly blogging on their blogs I feel for interaction it's beginning to take a back seat.

I feel brands are approaching people purely based on their instagram now days, people interact way more through that platform than a blog and even as a very very small blog I've noticed the difference, I care more about my engagement on instagram then I do my blog, the blog groups on facebook if they say you can post any social media platform to help gain followers or just likes I tend to put my instagram down before my blog. People have begun to write larger, more personal captions so their followers can get to know them through that platform and so I ask, do you think blogging is dead? Do you think it's more about the one photo and the sometimes large caption, is instagram taking over?

Casual Floral Layering

JACKET: TOPSHOP | TEE: URBAN OUTFITTERS | SHEER TOP: PRETTY LITTLE THING (dress worn as top) | JEANS: TOPSHOP | TRAINERS: CONVERSE | BAG: ZARA (old) | BELT H&M (old) | NECKLACE: POSH TOTTY

So in my last outfit post I spoke about changing my photo editing style and I am thoroughly enjoying it, it just feels so autumnal. Alongside that though I have also been focusing on my style and trying not worry about what everyone is doing and wearing so much although that's not to say that I don't have blogger inspiration as I am massively crushing on Isabella at the moment, she really is my style, interior style and life goals (talk about girl crush) When I saw she'd style a sheer floral embroidery top I just knew I had to have one. At the time of seeing this style I had also been invited to a PrettyLittleThing event and I wanted to rock one of their pieces as well so I went online and found this for a bargain price of £20! Although it is a dress I would not wear it that way and instead styled it as a top, I have just found out that the dress I purchased is out of stock, however I have linked another and they are everywhere at the moment, plus urban outfitters have plenty of top styles too. But whether it's underneath a tee like this or by itself (post to come when I can photograph it) I just love it and constantly grab for it, it is a firm favourite at the moment.

Another thing I've been loving again are slogan tees. I love the white tee with red writing as I think that looks awesome but I also like a slight rock chic vibe. When I saw this in Urban I instantly fell in love. The colour was amazing as I feel it's quite a distressed black and the floral pattern isn't too girly at all, plus the white writing just stood out and I knew I could style it with the sheer top and also it would look good with a few pairs of jeans.

Tie it all together with a kick ass leather jacket and I dream of going to gigs and dancing till my socks full off and I just feel cool. That's what I love about dressing, for me I feel I change ever so slightly depending on how I dress and I think that's why finding your style is so important. This outfit makes me feel a little daring and quite confident. If I were to wear a dress or something girly I'd feel sexy and in sense a little cutesy too. It really is amazing what clothes can do.

Lastly the converse. I will apologise now as I think you will see a lot of these around. Yes it's risky having white in autumn/winter and yes they have a fair few marks on them already but I LOVE them. They go with everything, they're super comfy and I just can't help but grab them everyday even if I know it's risky wearing them when working with small people. (so far so good, no real stains or accidents)

And that is the outfit summed up. I feel this outfit will be totally marmite-y but I love it.
Do you ever feel fashion and wearing certain things changes you a little?
